My favorite healthy snack food is 4oz of low fat cottage cheese with 1 table spoon of frozen berry medley slightly heated in the microwave just enough to sweat the berries with 1.5 tablespoon of chopped walnuts and sprinkled with cinnamon to taste. I like this snack because it satisfies my sweet tooth, it’s crunchy and filling. These ingredients are simple and can be found at your local grocery or farmer’s market.

Tell me what’s your favorite healthy snack? why? and where can it be found? I look forward to your comments.

Twenty health benefits of adding turmeric to your diet.

I found this article “20 Health Benefits of Turmeric” and found it interesting enough to share with you. Personally, I add turmeric to my scrambled and boiled eggs. I also add it to my baked chicken. Turmeric is a great antioxident agent. You can try this little experiment. Boil two eggs and place them separately in a zip lock bag. In one of the bags, sprinkle in about 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric, and make sure the egg is fully covered with the turmeric. Make sure the bags are securely zip. Place in the refrigerator for about two weeks. After two weeks, open both bags, make note of the smell of each bag, and tell me what you think.
