Turmeric and its Health Benefits

I found this article “20 Health Benefits of Turmeric” and found it interesting enough to share with you.   Turmeric has curcumin as its active ingredient, which is first-rate antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.  Laboratory studies have shown that curcumin is as effective in reducing inflammation as the potent drugs hydrocortisone and phenylbutazone, without the serious steroidal side effects.  Of course you can add turmeric to your food as well as take it in capsule form by purchasing it here:  Turmeric.

Personally, I add turmeric to my scrambled and boiled eggs.  I also add it to my baked chicken.  Turmeric is a great antioxident agent.  You can try this little experiment.  Boil two eggs and place them separately in a zip lock bag.  In one of the bags, sprinkle in about 1/2 tablespoon of turmeric, and make sure the egg is fully covered with the turmeric.  Make sure the bags are securely zip.  Place in the refrigerator for about two weeks.  After two weeks, open both bags, make note of the smell of each bag, and tell me what you think.
